Dr. Amit K. Maitra

Dr. Amit Maitra is a global operations strategist and vital liaison to the US Air Force, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and NASA who offers extensive experience in space, telecommunications/IT domains, including thorough knowledge of the international context of technical cooperation and telecommunications project implementation.

Dr. Maitra is Chief Technology Officer of the Enterprise Solutions Operating Unit, Lockheed Martin Corporation. In his current role, he oversees infrastructure and project management disciplines for large Federal enterprise IT infrastructure, which spans the entire array of infrastructure and connectivity components, including network, server, applications, mail, Web, workstation and telecommunications infrastructure, as well as associated security components in the US Department of Defense and its Components (Army, Navy, and the Air Force), DHS, and NASA. Dr. Maitra contributes directly to multiple key programs and initiatives, such as IT-NOVA [Information Technology Network Operations Virtual Alliance] Quality Control Approach for the Department of Homeland Security based on an Information Technology Infrastructure Library [ITIL] Total Quality Systems framework.

As CTO, Dr. Maitra represents Lockheed Martin Enterprise Solutions in strategy and technology planning committees, participates and influences the development of Lockheed Martin Corporate policies and standards, and performs process quality and compliance audits to ensure compliance with Federal and industry best practices, standards, processes and policies.
