George S. Paras

Mr. Paras is a widely recognized speaker, writer, coach and thought leader in Enterprise Architecture (EA), Strategy and Planning, Portfolio Management and IT Governance with more than 28 years of information technology and business experience. He has coached hundreds of IT leaders in the practical aspects of creating effective and successful EA programs at organizations as diverse as Canadian Pacific Railway, W.W. Grainger, United Airlines, Dow Chemical, State of Missouri, U.S. Navy, Bank of America, U.K. Federal Government, Allstate, and Sears Canada.

His insights and perspectives have advanced the EA discipline through his 10-year long tenure as Chairman and featured speaker for the Enterprise Architectures Conferences (EAC), as Editor-in-Chief of Architecture and Governance Magazine, and through his membership and lead roles in various national and local EA interest groups.

Mr. Paras has also held positions as Vice President and Service Director of the Enterprise Planning and Architecture Strategies group at META Group, Vice President of Strategy at Troux Technologies, Senior Enterprise Architect at a major U.S. airline, and multiple marketing and technology roles at IBM and several start-up companies. He is currently a Managing Director at EAdirections, which he founded with Larry R. DeBoever and Tim Westbrock.
